About Volunteering
Based on Vision 2030 aimed at the development of volunteerism and the expansion of its circle, the Association’s interest in voluntary programmes has been as community programmes aimed at addressing the needs of both beneficiaries and volunteers and embracing their voluntary initiatives in order to contribute to the provision of quality health services to the community on the one hand and achieve partnership between the association and voluntary bodies. To promote volunteerism in society, the Society has established a volunteer department in accordance with global best practices in this area; In order to realize their aspirations to serve the community within their responsibility, and allocated to them a volunteer care club, It is an initiative that expresses an advanced concept of volunteerism in the Kingdom in the sense that the club will not only be a qualifying incubator for voluntary teams but will be a cross-cutting forum for thought, planning, development and qualitative initiatives This trend is consistent with the directions of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which has made it its strategic objective to take care of volunteering, increase the number of volunteers, develop the charitable sector and develop its ideas so that its outputs are sustainable and effective in society. Attracting cadres in health disciplines and developing their skills and linking them to possible voluntary opportunities will contribute to the service of the community through the latest technical means in partnership with the community’s individuals and institutions. In order to distinguish itself in the field of volunteerism and to adopt qualitative initiatives and implement voluntary programmes professionally serving the community, the Association has obtained the foundation of volunteerism by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development.
